Guys, I’ve made my first Christmas purchase. I can’t believe how fast it has come around. The Christmas lights are up. It’s go time baby! This year more than ever I’ve made such a conscious effort to plan so many wholesome Christmas activities before the big day. I’m one of those people who LOVES the run-up to Christmas so much more than the actual event. Lol. I am definitely feeling the Christmassy vibes now. The most wonderful time of the year bitch. Let’s go.
Let’s have a catchup, shall we? An update on my seasonal depression…getting much better. Wow, last week was not a good one for it. I was out on a hot-girl walk at three in the afternoon (obviously lol) and the sun was setting. I couldn’t believe it. Had a lil’ breakdown on Thursday with Mama Liz and instantly felt better. Thank you hun, you’re the best. I saw Dear Evan Hansen last week and WOW. What a show. I’ve said it once. I’ll say it again. Alice Fearn. Queen. Icon. Legend. I sobbed and it was too dark to find my tissue so I ended up snotting all over my T-shirt. Oops. This past week, journaling has played a huge part in my evening wind down. If you haven’t invested time in journaling before, I highly recommend you do. You can write as much or as little as you want. I cannot tell you how much journaling helps me to clear my mind. If you know me, you’ll know my mind is a busy girly. By writing down what I’m anxious about and seeing it in black and white on paper, it makes me realise that it’s just not that deep. Your feelings can sometimes feel so overwhelming and that is so normal, like you’re not in control of them but I promise by writing them down, you realise how in control of them you really are and how capable you are of keeping them in check.
I am over halfway through Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros and WOW. She is a fantasy girly through and through now. The story line, the character development, the slow-burns. I AM LOVING IT. I’ve established the reason I love fantasy so much is because it allows you to fully escape from the real world, which is why I love reading. I’m immersing myself in a world full of dragons and magic which isn’t usually part of my day-to-day life so it’s my favourite genre to read when I want some ESCAPISM. Love you Rebecca xox
The sun is SHINING today. I will be getting outside and getting my daily dose of Vitamin D. Along with my Vitamin D tablets because your girl is not getting depressed again. Wear your SPF girlies and if you can get out into the fresh air. SOAK UP THAT SUN and pretend it’s thirty degrees outside. I will for sure be doing that! Have a gorgeous rest of your week.
Big love ALWAYS,
Lucy Xxx
